Agriculture, horticulture and aquaculture

Picture on the way

Certification plays an important role in a number of areas within agricultural and horticultural production as well as aquaculture. Requirements are typically set for food safety, traceability and animal welfare.

These are voluntary schemes where companies apply for a certificate in order to be stronger in the market, for example in relation to documentation of supplier requirements. It may also be a requirement of the slaughterhouse that the animals are produced in accordance with certain requirements.

DANAK accredits to certification to a number of schemes in this area. The schemes are based on the requirements for product certification. However, accreditation can also be granted for certification to ISO/IEC 22000, categories A and B, please refer to the page on food.
